We are located just a 45 minute drive from Knoxville, Tennessee airport, just outside the quaint, charming town of Tellico Plains. Tellico Plains is a rustic town with a pedestrian friendly main street and lots of local stores offering everything from homemade bread, to both casual and upscale restaurants, to arts and crafts made by local artisans.
It is a town that has retained a simpler,
slower pace that is reminiscent of
times past.




The Great Smoky Mountains National Park
World renowned for the diversity of its plant and animal life, the beauty of its ancient mountains,
and the quality of its remnants of Southern Appalachian mountain culture, this is America’s most visited National park. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a hiker's paradise with over 800 miles of maintained trails ranging from short leg-stretchers to strenuous treks that may require backcountry camping. From the big animals like bears, deer, and elk, down to microscopic organisms, the Smokies have the most biological diversity of any area in the world's temperate zone.
White Water Rafting
The Ocoee River. The Ocoee Whitewater Center is approximately 45 minute drive from Harlan Mountain. The Ocoee River was the site of the 1996 Olympic Kayaking event. You can test your skills on the Olympic Course or take a scenic whitewater raft trip down the river. http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/ocoee/
The Cherohala Skyway
Winding up and over 5,400 foot mountains for 15 miles in North Carolina and descending another 21 miles
into the deeply forested backcountry of Tennessee.
The road crosses through the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forests - thus the name "Chero...hala".
The Skyway is becoming well known in motorcycling
Golf
There are four major
golf courses in the area.
The excellent conditioning
of these courses provides
for year round enjoyment.
Play at Rarity Bay,
The Links at Kahite, Toqua Championship Golf Course and Tanasi Championship Golf Course.
Fishing
The Tellico River is nationally recognized as a premier fly-fishing stream. Fishermen here enjoy unspoiled wilderness settings and, more often than not, no company from other anglers.
Tellico Lake
Nearby Tellico Lake is the perfect place any type of water activity. On almost any given day you will see people on the lake sailing, jet skiing, fishing and just having fun swimming in the clear water.
Tellico Lake consists of 16,000 acres of water and 373 miles of shoreline. There are a number of lakeside parks, picnic areas, boat launches, overnight camping and marina facilities to make enjoying water actities as easy as a walk in the park. In addition to Tellico Lake, the surrounding area has several other major lakes. There is Fort Louden Lake, Watts Bar Lake, and Melton Hill Lake.
The Cherokee National Forest borders Harlan Mountain
The National Forest boasts over 640,000 pristine acres of natural, unspoiled beauty.
